What the frames give you

Texture contrast in every direction: the unrestored outsides of the grain bins — stained, board-marked, monumental — hard against curtain-wall offices, warehouse conversions and paving-and-granite public space. Steps and plazas give natural staging; dock cranes and rigging close several sightlines.

The register

It reads as a contemporary international quarter with an industrial spine — the frames carry pedestrians at documentary distance, and Table Mountain enters the street-level views. Busy by day; timing is the control.
