EXT. ATLANTIS DUNES — CAPE TOWN · SUPPLIED

Atlantis Dunes as a filming location.

A white dunefield forty kilometres north of Cape Town: sculpted ridges, wind-rippled flats and horizons that hold nothing but sand and sky. The supplied frames show tyre tracks running clean across it — vehicle work happens here — and not a single built structure.

THE GROUNDWHAT THE PHOTOGRAPHS SHOW

Sand, sky, nothing else.

GRD/01

What the frames give you

A true blank stage: white sand graded into ridges and bowls, no structure, no wire, no tideline. The existing tyre tracks in two frames confirm what the ground supports — vehicles run here. Low scrub on the perimeter reads as African veld when you want an edge, and disappears when you frame above it.

GRD/02

The register

Hard sun turns the field near-monochrome — white ground, cobalt sky; the sand holds detail deep into the highlights. The dunes double for desert anywhere, and the scale hides a unit easily.

ACCESSOWNERSHIP & ENQUIRY ROUTE

Access, arranged on the ground.

Cape Town permitting is Groundglass’s domain — they hold the relationships and arrange access. Where a fact is not sourced, this table says confirm at booking rather than guessing.

FAQ/01

How do we enquire about filming at the Atlantis Dunes?

Through EXT., as with any location in the library — jonny@extlocations.co.uk or 01202 022 158. We brief Groundglass, who hold the relationship and arrange access on the ground.

FAQ/02

Who handles permits and access at the Atlantis Dunes?

Groundglass. Cape Town permitting is their domain — they scouted and photographed this location, hold the relationships and arrange access. We do not publish permit routes or fees for supplied locations; terms are confirmed at booking.

FAQ/03

Can we run vehicles on the sand?

The supplied frames show existing tyre tracks across the field, so vehicle use plainly happens here. What a production may run, and where, is a permit matter handled by Groundglass and confirmed at booking.
